Personnel eligibility allows Lightning Bolt to determine exactly which shifts a provider can and cannot work. It also helps determine exactly which changes can be made to the schedule after it has been published to everyone.
Assigning eligibility to an individual provider:
To assign eligibility to an individual provider, navigate to Administration>Setup and click on the Personnel tab. Then click on the individual provider that should be edited, which will bring up the Edit Personnel screen.
To edit eligibility, scroll down on the page to the Assignments section:
Once you’ve reached the assignments section, change your individual provider’s eligibility settings by left-clicking on an assignment to select it, and then using the arrows to move the assignment between the Non-eligible assignments and Eligible assignments columns.
Once finished with eligibility settings, scroll back up to the top of the page and click the Save Changes button.
Assigning eligibility to multiple providers at once:
To save you time, Lightning Bolt also offers Bulk Action tools which allow eligibility to be assigned to or removed from multiple providers at once.
To do so, first select the providers you’d like to add or remove eligibility to or from by left-clicking the checkboxes next to their name. Here, I will be adding eligibility to Curry, Durant and Green:
Then, left-click on the Bulk Action menu above the list of providers and select either Add eligible assignment(s) or Remove eligible assignment(s).
In the pop-up that appears, select the assignment you’d like to add or remove by left-clicking on it, then use the arrows to move the assignment to the appropriate column. Here, I am adding eligibility for the assignment Oakland to Curry, Durant, and Green:
Once you’ve placed the right assignments into the Eligible/Non-eligible assignment(s) column, click Save Changes to finish up.
Adding eligibility to multiple assignments at once:
The bulk action tools can also be used to define eligibility for individual/multiple assignments rather than personnel. To do this, navigate to Administration>Setup, click on the Assignments tab, and click on Go to list view in the top right.
You’ll see a page that looks similar to the Personnel List View. To start, select the assignments you’d like to add or remove eligibility to or from by left-clicking the checkboxes next to the assignment names. Here, I will be editing eligibility for 1st South, 2nd South, and 3rd South.
Then, left-click on the Bulk Action menu above the list of providers and select either Add eligible personnel or Remove eligible personnel.
In the pop-up that appears, select the provider you’d like to add or remove by left-clicking on their name, then use the arrows to move them to the appropriate column. Here, I am removing eligibility for 1st South, 2nd South, and 3rd South from Bumgarner and Posey.
Once you’ve placed the right providers into the Eligible / Non eligible personnel column, click Save Changes to finish up.
